American pop singer Joe Jonas is the newest endorser of local clothing brand Bench, placing him alongside "American Idol" finalist David Archuleta, “Pretty Little Liars” star Lucy Hale and “The Vampire Diaries” actor Michael Trevino.

“Joe Jonas, welcome to the Bench family! See you soon!” Bench said on Twitter on Friday.

Following the announcement, the hashtag #JoeJonas4Bench became one of the top trending local topics on the microblogging site.

Meanwhile, “America’s Next Top Model” contestants Allison Harvard and Dominique Reighard are set to join the Philippine Fashion Week, representing Bench and designer Michael Cinco.

This was confirmed by Michael Carandang, a producer of the show.

Harvard, meanwhile, said she is excited to be walking for Bench and Cinco in Manila.

Lady Gaga Live in Manila 2012 CANCEL?

At a rally calling for Lady Gaga to cancel her shows in Manila next week, about 70 Christian youths in the Philippines chanted "Stop the Lady Gaga concerts".

On Friday, members of the group called Biblemode Youth Philippines said that they are offended by Lady Gaga's music and videos. They say that she mocks Jesus Christ in her song "Judas", reported the Associated Press.

Ben Abante, former Philippine Congressman, led the protest, saying his group will file a case against the singer as well as concert organisers if she sings Judas next week.

For offending race and religion, the singer and organisers can be punished, added Former Manila Mayor Jose Atienza.

Prior to this, Lady Gaga had cancelled a concert in Jakarta following protests from conservative Muslims.

Indonesian Police May Cancel ‘Satanic’ Lady Gaga Concert

Indonesian police on Tuesday moved to cancel Lady Gaga’s sold-out June 3 show in Jakarta by denying a crucial concert permit. “The National Police said verbally that [the concert] would not be permitted,” police spokesman Rikwanto told the Jakarta Globe. The decision came after protest groups, including the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI), assembled on the streets of the capital to denounce the “dangerous” singer, warning that her “satanic lyrics” could “destroy the children’s sense of morality.”

Big Bang will open their 2012 world tour in the Manila Philippines and Malaysia. Following these shows, the group will tour 16 countries, 25 cities, in Asia, North America, South America, and Europe.

Roberta Flack Live in Manila

American singer, songwriter, and musician who is notable for jazz, soul, R&B, and folk music Roberta Flack is coming to Manila Philippines for a live concert event.

Roberta Flack is best known for her Hot 100 #1 singles "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face", "Killing Me Softly with His Song" and "Feel Like Makin' Love", as well as "Where Is the Love" and "The Closer I Get to You", two of her many duets with Donny Hathaway. "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face" won the 1973 Grammy Record of the Year and "Killing Me Softly with His Song" won the same award at the Grammy Awards of 1974.

She and U2 are the only artists to win the award in consecutive years.

The Phantom of the Opera is a classic for everybody of all ages. Even for me, someone who despises classical opera, I really loved this from the moment I saw the show; it was life-changing. During the Overture, the hairs on the back of my neck stood up. I was freaked out when the chandelier crashed, and I cried in the final scene. This was the first time I saw it. The second time I saw it, the Overture was even more electrifying, During the Act 1 Finale, and I bawled like a baby in the last scene.

The Phantom of the Opera is a tale of seduction, romance, revenge and unrequited love. The acting was phenomenal. If you're a parent, don't fear, you can take the whole family with you. There is really no profanity, although some sensual movement. The operatic arias may bore them a little, but the title song's 80's drum-beat will surely give them a retro thrill. It also gives your a good opportunity to talk with your kids about judging by looks and accepting people for who they are.
