The world’s most favorite adult contemporary American singer/ songwriter Kenny Loggins is coming to Manila on May 22 at the SMX Convention Centre SM Mall of Asia Compound in Roxas Boulevard, Pasay City in a high powered musical event called “Kenny Loggins LIVE in Manila”. Feel the magic come alive as he performs countless most loved anthems of his career-“Footloose”, “For the First Time”, “Whenever I Call You Friend”, “Meet Me Halfway” and many more.
Kenny Loggins and immense talent for performing arts has brought him critical acclaim and won prestigious recognitions such as Song of the Year for “What a Fool Believes” at the 1980 Grammys Awards and Best Male Pop Vocal in the previous year for “This Is It” which Loggins had dedicated for his ailing father-and shortly later used by prime television channel NBC as theme music for the NCAA Mens Basketball Tournament 1980 and ‘81. His songs since have never failed to climb the popular music charts of his time and peak on high ranks consistently.
Apart from the great songstress Streisand, Kenny Loggins has had grateful opportunities to collaborate many other heralded individuals in music. Among of which are Jim Messina, Stevie Nicks, Richard and Robert Sherman and Randy Jackson.
Loggins had also performed and took part in USA For Africa or the famine-relief fundraising single “We Are the World”.
His other noteworthy vocations and performances include his critically acclaimed and famed 1994 children’s album Return to Pooh Corner-which its title single “House at Pooh Corner” was dedicated to his then newborn son Luke, and earlier his 1991 album Leap of Faith-its single “Conviction of the Heart” was tagged by former US vice president Al Gore as the unofficial anthem of the environmental movement. The Single was performed at The National Mall in Washington DC for an audience of 500,000 in Earth Day 1995.
